I love it too! I have been thinking about this a lot lately, and I am also grateful for that community. Other moms are a better resource than the best parenting book -- wish I'd figured that out earlier in my parenting career than I did!

good thing you don't score-keep. because, um, YOU got served meat that was somewhat unknown in nature (and no dessert), while I got served REALLY YUMMY enchiladas and awesome chocolate cake. :)

great post- that's how i feel about my community too... i always have someone to call on when i need help, and i have finally learned that it is ok to ask for it!!

True community is hard, really hard. It takes lots of patience, perseverance, and forgiveness. I'd like to think of myself as part of that community you describe, but I'm glad you don't keep score, cause I'd certainly loose.
